Life & Death – A Buddhist Perspective

Thursdays 7-8.15pm  |  ONLINE

Oct 1, 8, 15, 22
Nov 5, 12, 19, 26
Dec 3, 10, 17

We are alive, therefore we will die. This is the simplest, most obvious truth of our existence, yet few of us have come to terms with this fact.

The teachings in this Thursday evening meditation class series will help us to live a happy and meaningful life, prepare for our death and also help others who are dying. In this way, instead of something to be feared or denied, death can become a positive experience.

The classes are based on the book Living Meaningfully, Dying Joyfully by renowned Buddhist Master, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

“There is nothing more precious than our human life. Having been born as a human being we have immense freedom to accomplish almost anything we want. With so much freedom, we need to ask ourself what is the most meaningful way to use our life. What will make us truly happy? What will benefit others most? And when this life is over, what will help us then?”  – Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, ‘Living Meaningfully, Dying Joyfully’

You don’t have to be Buddhist to benefit from the classes. Everyone is welcome.
