Chanted Prayers

Chanted Prayers (or pujas) are a powerful method to connect with the inspiring energy of the enlightened beings. This connection immediately makes our mind peaceful and uplifted, and gives a real boost to our spiritual practice. Trying to meditate just under our own steam can become quite dry after a while, but if we receive the blessings of the Buddhas everything becomes easy and joyful.

Everyone is welcome to attend pujas, and there is no charge. We  are still trying to find the right times to suit people so times might change so please check the calendar before coming. Chanting prayers in a group is an essential part of Buddhist practice and the life of a Dharma Centre, but unfortunately during the time of covid this was not possible and we are only just restarting group pujas. You can come to any of the pujas, but the most important is Offering to the Spiritual Guide. Set to beautiful tunes, these prayers bring us close to our Spiritual Guide and is also an opportunity to meet up with the local community of spiritual friends. People often bring offerings, mainly vegetarian food, which is shared out afterwards in “tsog” party.
