Mindfulness of the Breath: a 7-day online programme with Buddhist nun Kelsang Chogma
Mon 1 – Sun 7 Feb 2021 ~ videos will remain online for a further 7 days afterwards
Even though breathing meditation is only a preliminary stage of meditation, it can be quite powerful. We can see from this practice that it is possible to experience inner peace and contentment just by controlling the mind, without having to depend at all upon external conditions.
Just by doing breathing meditation for ten or fifteen minutes a day we can:
- develop a sense of well-being, inner strength and contentment
- reduce stress and anxiety
- feel more motivated
- cope with the busyness of the modern world
The course is offered as seven 20-minute video sessions designed to be viewed once a day for seven days. In this way you will build the positive habit of a regular meditation practice and experience the benefits that come from training your mind.
With this highly beneficial course you will learn:
- How to sit in a good meditation posture – either on a chair or cushion
- The benefits of meditation
- Tips for successful meditation
- How to train in mindfulness focusing on the breath
- How to carry your meditative experience with mindfulness in daily life
Each 20-minute session includes guided meditation on the breath and brief instructions to explain the meditation and help you improve.
