Meditation Courses

We offer meditation courses to help you find practical solutions to everyday problems. The methods we teach to improve the quality of your life are derived from the teachings of Buddha but you don’t need to be Buddhist to benefit from these workshops.

All the meditation techniques are explained and practical advice is given on how to overcome difficulties, find lasting happiness and develop our full potential.

Everyone is welcome! It’s not necessary to have previous experience of meditation.
Costs (unless stated otherwise):
Half-day courses cost £12 including refreshments.
Full-day courses cost £20 and include a light lunch if mentioned.


Basic Buddhism

On this course we’ll look at basic Buddhist views, intentions and practices and we’ll learn some of the ritual practices that we can engage in including making offerings, reciting mantras, mandala offerings. 



A Meaningful Life – with Bodhisattva Vow Ceremony

Find out how to awaken your Buddha nature and achieve the real meaning of human life; the attainment of enlightenment. 

A Bodhisattva is a person who, motivated by great compassion, has developed the mind of bodhichitta; a spontaneous wish to attain enlightenment for the sake of all living beings.

On this special course we will learn how to develop this precious mind of bodhichitta and engage in the Bodhisattva’s way of life; the practice of the perfections of giving, moral discipline, patience, effort, concentration, and wisdom.

In the afternoon a special Bodhisattva Vow Ceremony will give people the opportunity to enter the Mahayana path to enlightenment, becoming like a son or daughter of Buddha. By taking the Bodhisattva Vow we promise to follow the Bodhisattva’s way of life to the best of our ability. This vow will ensure the swift attainment of enlightenment for whoever takes it. It is said that whoever takes the Bodhisattva Vow and keeps it purely will constantly be creating positive energy day and night, even while asleep; making every moment of our life meaningful!
