Caring for the Carer
Now that we are all living longer and facing a lot more complex health challenges, it is increasingly common for people becoming full time carers, often for family and friends.
Caregivers well know the challenges of manifesting compassion and selflessness on the job, with the focus often on managing the suffering.
Often, carers themselves are grappling with their own health problems, as they find themselves providing care around the clock, without any respite.
Too commonly, the need of the carer is overlooked as the focus is on the person that needs care.
With our half day course we will recognise the stresses and demands care giving creates, but understand how to develop a more balanced and resilient mind that focuses on self-care, compassion and healthy boundaries, whilst accommodating the need to rest the body and mind.
By learning meditation techniques you will experience a better way of responding to the day to day caring needs of yourself and others.
