Everybody is welcome to attend these online classes – ideal for beginners, no previous experience or knowledge is necessary.

THE TEACHER

Buddhist nun Kelsang Chogma

Kelsang Chogma is the Resident Teacher for Ganden Kadampa Buddhist Centre in Halifax. She has been practising and teaching meditation and modern Buddhism for over twenty years.

Chogma was ordained as a Buddhist nun in 2009 by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and serves as a wonderful example of the ordained way of life in the modern world. She is loved for her joyful enthusiasm and gentle skill in guiding meditations.

 

 

 


 

Meditation Made Simple 

A three-week course with Buddhist nun Kelsang Chogma

Experience the daily peace that comes from establishing a regular meditation practice.

This online course provides a comprehensive introduction to meditation, offering guidance at all levels for developing and deepening your meditation practice.

Learn meditations to relax body and mind, find inner peace, achieve mental clarity, and develop a kind and compassionate attitude towards others.

Class One: Meditations for Relaxation

Simple breathing meditations that can be practised by anyone. With regular practice, these meditations help to relax both body and mind and lead to a deep experience of inner peace.

Class Two: Meditations for a Clear Mind

Meditations exploring the nature of your own mind, designed to lead to an experience of inner peace and mental clarity.

Class Three: Meditations for a Kind Heart

Open your heart with these meditations helping to develop greater peace of mind and happiness, and to improve our relationships through learning to cherish others.

How the course will run

  • After booking you will receive a link to the class video webpage.
  • On Wednesday July 7th, 14th and 21st at 7pm a video class will go live on the video webpage. 
  • Each class will be approximately 45 minutes long and will include two guided meditations and a short teaching.
  • All classes will remain available to view until the end of July so you can view and repeat the classes at your leisure during that time.
